Fillday terms of service
- Effective date: August 4, 2026
- Operator: Hyeonwoo Kim
- Contact: ialskdji@gmail.com
- Where these terms are published: https://kugorang.github.io/Fillday/terms/en.html
1. Purpose
These terms set out the conditions for using the Fillday mobile app (the "app") and the rights and responsibilities of the operator and users.
2. Definitions
- The "app" is a free, local-only personal journaling tool, made up of the Planner, To-dos, and Diary screens and a Companion character.
- "Entries" means everything a user writes in the app — events, tasks, journal entries, moods, decorations, and so on.
- "Local-only" means a structure in which entries are stored only on the user's device and are not transmitted to any operator server.
3. Publishing and changing these terms
- The operator publishes these terms in the app or at https://kugorang.github.io/Fillday/terms/en.html.
- The operator may change these terms within the bounds of applicable law. Changes are announced before they take effect, together with the effective date and what changed.
- Changes that are unfavourable to users are announced with a reasonable notice period.
4. What the service is
- The app is provided free of charge. There are no accounts and no sign-up.
- The current version of the app is local-only. Entries are stored only on the user's device, and the operator has no means of accessing them.
- The operator may add to or change the app's features. Any change that alters how entries are stored (for example, introducing optional accounts and sync) is announced before it takes effect, together with a revision of the privacy policy.
5. Rights to your entries
- All rights to entries a user creates belong to that user.
- Entries are kept on the user's device. The operator cannot read, use, or transfer them and claims no licence over them.
6. What users look after
- Because the app is local-only, keeping entries safe depends on the user's device and its OS backup settings. If the device is lost or stops working, or the app is deleted, the operator holds no server copy and cannot restore the entries.
- Users can check their device's OS backup settings and, where the app provides a data export feature, use it to keep their own copies.
- Where app lock (PIN or biometrics) is turned on, looking after the means of unlocking is up to the user.
7. Intellectual property
- Rights to the app and its components (software, design, the Companion character, trademarks and logos) belong to the operator or their rightful holders.
- Paragraph 1 does not apply to users' entries (section 5).
8. What is not allowed
Users must not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app (except to the extent permitted by law);
- copy, redistribute, sell, or rent the app or any part of it without permission;
- use the app's trademarks, characters, or designs without permission;
- use the app for purposes that violate applicable law.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
- The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the operator makes no express or implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose.
- The operator does not warrant that the app behaves identically across every device environment.
10. Limitation of liability
- To the extent permitted by law, and given that the app is free of charge and local-only, the operator is not liable for loss of entries caused by device loss, device malfunction, deletion of the app, or OS backups not being set up.
- Mandatory provisions of consumer protection law take precedence over this section.
11. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Disputes relating to the app are first addressed through the contact in section 12; where no resolution is reached, they are resolved by the courts having jurisdiction under the governing law.
